Our milk and cream is different. But the same as it has been for centuries.
Our milk is raw and whole. It has cream that rises to the top and it’s deep yellow from the grass that makes it.
Our cows are Jersey cows that live on pasture day and night through the growing season and eat grass and herbs. They are managed intensively in a planned rotationial grazing system to provide them with the optimal nutrition, so that they can make the most nutritious milk. In this process they build soil, sequester carbon in the ground and live to the full extent of their being. In the winter they eat dry and fermented hay. They always get sea salt and minerals to complete their diet.
We adhere to standards set forth by international organic standards including and beyond: no hormones or pesticides, and no GMOs. We also partner with Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) for optimal soil nutrient management and improvement, conservation and biodiversity. All of this contributes to a healthy environment, healthy delicious food, and happy lives for all of us.

Answers to Frequent Questions
Our milk and dairy products are available exclusively at our farm in Goffstown, NH.
You can come shop at our farm stand 9am to 6pm every day! We do not offer a delivery service.
Can you reserve cream or another product for me? I’m coming from far away.
Please note that cream is very limited in supply for retail purchase, and we do not reserve products. Thanks!
Which Benedikt Dairy products are raw?
Only our bottled milk and cream are raw. The rest of the products are made with our milk that we pasteurize first before inoculating with culture or making into ice cream.
Are you inspected by the Health Department?
Yes. We are licensed and inspected by the state of New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services. Our products are routinely tested for quality and purity.
Do you reuse the caps/lids?
Milk caps: NO
Cream, yogurt, buttermilk: YES
Please recycle/dispose of milk caps at home, and return our (dishwasher safe!) lids of the yogurt, buttermilk and cream because we do reuse those.
How does the bottle and jar deposit work?
Our milk, cream and yogurt come in reusable glass quart bottles and jars. Each bottle of milk costs $7.50. Two dollars of that price is the deposit on the glass bottle. You get $2 credit toward your next bottle when you bring your clean bottle back. Yogurt costs $11/jar. The deposit works the same as milk above, but we do reuse the lids, so please return those.
Can I return another farm’s bottle or jar and receive credit?
No.
How clean does my return bottle/jar need to be in order to receive credit?
Clean means different things to everyone, but here’s a starting point if you need one: Close your eyes and imagine holding a clear, shiny beautiful glass vessel up to the sun, that you might then fill with an offering to someone you admire, respect and care about. That clean.
Can I bring my own container for the milk?
-Absolutely not, under any circumstance, will we bottle milk in anything other than our glass quart sized bottles that we have sanitized and inspected. We also do not allow you to transfer milk from our containers to yours on site. Thanks for your cooperation.
Do you deliver?
No.
I’m driving from far away. Can you reserve a product for me?
No, sorry!
Can I sign up for the milk/cream CSA and come every other week?
No, unfortunately our system cannot accommodate anything but a weekly pick up schedule.
Can I watch the milking/can I milk the cows?
-No. We are a working farm that focuses on producing clean, delicious high quality products as our primary source of income. This depends on good management, a high standard of care for our herd, strict process controls, biosecurity, efficiency, and concentration in everything we do. We suggest seeking out a farm organization or non-profit whose primary mission and focus are on education, or someone who milks cows as a hobby.
When is the best day to come for butter/cream/Greek yogurt?
We are a small dairy with a small production capacity working within the natural limitations of our herd size, barn capacity, and land base. Our focus is on making high quality products, not mass producing them. We try to keep everything in stock, but it’s sometimes difficult.
I’m driving from far away. Can you tell me if you’ll have butter/Greek yogurt/cream when I arrive?
We can’t predict if we will sell out before you arrive.
